coral NGOs bring real challenges
The idea
Imagine 80 to 100 curious students from every field, six days in Vienna and one shared mission: help coral reefs with the power of tech. We are global citizens, and reefs need all of us.
Five tracks
A glimpse of what you could work on. The real challenges are revealed at the hackathon.
Connect people with reefs.
Analyze data and images automatically.
Cheaper, scalable, more effective.
Involve divers and coastal communities.
Low-cost, build-it-yourself measuring devices.
Program
We are keeping the details a surprise. Here is a taste.
Inspiring talks and stories from the people who protect corals.
New friends from every field, before the real challenge begins.
Mentors and experts help you turn a real NGO challenge into a prototype.
Present your idea, win prizes, and celebrate with a coral party.
Join in
Whether you code, teach, fund or protect reefs: there is a place for you.
Sign up as a team or alone. If you come alone, we will find you an amazing team of 4 to 5 people.
Guide two teams through the coding days and join us for the mentor training and a shared excursion.
Help us feed, host and reward 100 students who work on coral reefs. Money, tools, cloud credits and food all help.
Then we are looking for you. Tell us your challenge and what data you have. We pick five NGOs and give them visibility and prototypes.
